Haiku - Wall

Walls

the wall has been built
hence await for visitors-
we stand by the gate

 Maybe that wall is also the wall about which Khalil Gibran says the following:

[...] "After all this is not a bad prison; but I do not like this wall between my cell and the next prisoner’s cell; Yet I assure you that I do not wish to reproach the warder not the Builder of the prison".[...]

[...] "Sadness is but a wall between two gardens". [...]

**I don't like to give explanation or add too much in hopes the haiku speaks for itself. I would like to add. I think walls people build (or are helped built for them) are individual; as the door they have to that wall.**

For the Prompt it is said to write in our own language. My own language is English... I am American living in Germany. So I know English well. I am learning German. My mandatory German class begins again this week... which I want to learn. I don't know enough German to write a Haiku in German. But I might want to try sometime.

Solitude

Four Haiku

in calm solitude

sitting alone self assured-

a love from within 

there is solitude 

when with the nature and life 

we have become one. 

gaze out the window

like a cat in solitude-

pondering deep thoughts

lone introspection

finding you are all you are-

the best place to be

**I love this theme. I could probably write a book of Haiku on this (maybe I will). Solitude is a great place to be. A time for thinking without interference. The ability to enjoy being alone is a great thing. Not all the time of course. I think it takes time and age to get to that place in ones life. Loneliness is searching outside for what you have inside already. When that place is reached being with others can be even better. Time with others is shared and enjoyed.... not needed for lack of loneliness. It is my belief and thoughts. I definitely enjoy me time alone to think... write Haiku. Even if it is late at night when everyone is sleeping. It keeps you centered.**

For this week's Tan Renga Challenge I have chosen a haiku written by Magical Mystical Teacher (MMT). It was her response on one of our prompt-haiku last month. She wrote this haiku in response on this haiku by Basho:

how rare the sight—
yellow blossoms brushing
the sky with light

Truth

the pursuit of Truth
is where true beauty is found-
in which life is based


Truth is one of my favorite words. I think it is one of the most important aspects of life. Sincerity is neither bad or good when based in the real and true from the heart. 

As Khalil Gibran wrote about 'truth':
 [...] "When you reach the heart of life you shall find beauty in all things, even in the eyes that are blind to beauty". [...]
I agree completely.

I wasn't online too much yesterday.

I wasn't online too much yesterday. The computer screen was too bright for my eyes... when I did check the computer I wore my sunglasses. LOL 
I was at the eye doctor for an exam. They checked my eyes everything is good. My pupils were enlarged to check my retina. I have a Posterior vitreous detachment. The retina is attached good. Because I have this they like to check it every year or two. Everything is good. Today my eyes are normal.
